We are very pleased to announce that Pietro Smaniotto successfully passed his PhD viva on 11 November 2025. His examiners, Prof Jörg Schmiedmayer (TU Vienna) and Prof Gerardo Adesso (University of Nottingham), were highly impressed with Pietro’s performance and the strength of his research.
We are extremely proud of Pietro and excited for what lies ahead in the next chapter of his career.
We celebrated with him afterwards at Peter’s Pizza and Tilt — a wonderful way to mark the occasion.
