Our next art-science effort has now resulted in an art exhibit at the Green's Windmill and Science Centre. This work originated from a collaboration between artist Alistair McClymont and students at the Gravity Laboratory. The artwork consists of a series of images, and 3D prints of the surface of water in an experiment exploring the early universe. Each scan is a capture of a moment in the evolution of waves, that we use to study dynamics of inflation and reheating. This work mirrors our universe's transition from cold emptiness to structure, and lets visitors explore this through their natural senses. To find out more, see the recent press release or visit the site and experience it yourself.
